Ms. JoAnn Scordino, CEM, Principal

JoAnn Scordino, CEMJoAnn Scordino, CEM, principal consultant of Organize for Action has 15 years experience in the disaster preparedness field and over 20 years experience as a professional organizer.

From 1995-2005 she served as the Community Disaster Preparedness Coordinator for the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Emergency Services*. During her tenure in this post, she delivered 400+ disaster preparedness presentations and trainings to over 20,000 people.

Her presentation style and content are powerful, informative and action provoking. As a trainer or consultant to your organization, JoAnn will provide you with excellent service and resources to move you into action and help you be prepared for life's unexpected events.

IAEM logoSince 1999, JoAnn has been a member of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) and, in 2007, received her Certified Emergency Management (CEM) credential. She is an active member of the IAEM Special Needs Caucus.

JoAnn has spoken internationally at the IAEM's World's Disaster Managers Conference in Caserta, Italy and at the Global InterAction's China-US EMS Conference in Beijing, China.

Nam LaMore, Research & Marketing

Nam LaMore, with extensive background in corporate marketing and volunteer management experience, provides research and marketing assistance to Organize for Action.

As an AmeriCorps Vista outreach coordinator, Nam provided technology training to community organizations and agencies.

As a Peace Corps community development advisor serving in Morocco, Nam worked with rural artisans to improve their business practices such as accounting, pricing and costing structures and marketing.
